Strategy In Words In Action
Captivating the student's attention
through sound |
Sometimes your voice can get drowned out by the other noise in the classroom. This is why using sound or even a singsong voice is useful when getting student's attention.

Using a singsong
voice |
Using a singsong voice is a great strategy to use when relaying important information to your class. For example, students putting their names on their papers is an important concept. One way to help them remember that this is the first thing they do, is to say so using a singsong voice:
Using this tune "skunk in the barnyard, P.U." Change the words to "Name on your paper, first thing!" Eventually your students will sing the song with you, or finish it for you! |
